How does the race work?
All adopted ducks are placed in the river and released at the starting line. The current carries them toward the finish, and the first ducks to cross the finish line win prizes!
Is the Waddle Race open to strollers?
Yes! Strollers are welcome in the Waddle 1-Mile Fun Run, so bring the whole family.
Is the event at the Water Park or somewhere else in Waterworks Park?
The event takes place in the Cuyahoga River at Waterworks Park, behind the Aquatic Center. When you arrive, drive through the Aquatic Center parking lot, go under the bridge, and into the park to reach the event area.
Where can I park?
Free parking is available at Waterworks Park and designated festival lots. Follow event signage for directions
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
- Comfortable clothing and shoes
- Sunscreen & water bottles
- Lawn chairs or blankets for seating
- Cash/card for food vendors & games
Is the event kid-friendly?
Absolutely! The festival includes games, activities, and entertainment for kids of all ages.
Are pets allowed?
Yes! Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome.

What happens if it rains?
The event will happen rain or shine! In case of severe weather, updates will be posted on our website and social media pages.
Will the race harm the environment or leave ducks in the river?
Absolutely not! Environmental responsibility is a core value of our event. We are committed to protecting the Cuyahoga River and work closely with the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department and partner organizations to ensure that every duck is retrieved after the race. No ducks are left behind!
Can I volunteer at the event?
Yes! We welcome volunteers to help with:
- Duck sales & check-in
- Race logistics & cleanup
- Festival games & activities
